Information and Communication Technologies

Information and communications technology (ICT) refers to all the technology used to handle telecommunications, broadcast media, intelligent building management system audiovisual processing and transmission systems, and network-based control and monitoring functions.

ICT has more recently been used to describe the convergence of several technologies and the use of common transmission lines carrying very diverse data and types co mmunications and formats.

Converging technologies that exemplify ICT include the merging of audiovisual, telephone and computer networks through a common cabling system. Internet service providers (ISPs) commonly provide internet, phone and television services to homes and bussiness through a single optical cable. 



AgricultureEdit

Agriculture is considered to be the most vital sector for ICT intervention. It is considered as the primary economic sector. It produces the most basic of human needs - food, clothing, shelter.

Climate change and environmentEdit

The use of ICT in weather forecasting is broad. Weather forecasting offices use mass media to inform the public on weather updates.


Education

The use of ICTs in the educational system that would not be able to solve the current problems in the educational system, but rather provide alternative solutions to the obstacles encountered in the conventional educational system. 

LiteracyEdit

Many current initiatives to improve global, regional and national literacy rates use ICT, particularly mobile phones and SMS.
If the  use, on the iPad when we need to look for something, or with all the applications that are useful to us.
In the classroom in various subjects, not all of us use them and we can get a lot of information
